1. General Terms & Conditions

These terms apply to all shipments handled by ILX Express Logistics unless otherwise specified in writing.

Important Notice:

Delivery timelines are estimates and may vary due to weather, traffic, or operational conditions. Weekends and holidays are not considered business days.

3. International Shipping

International shipments require additional documentation and are subject to customs regulations of destination countries.

Required Documentation:

  • Commercial Invoice - Required for all commercial shipments
  • Packing List - Detailed item description and values
  • Certificate of Origin - For certain countries and products
  • Import/Export Licenses - For restricted items
  • Customs Declarations - Country-specific forms

International Service Levels:

International Express

Delivery: 3-7 business days

Air freight with priority customs clearance. Best for time-sensitive shipments.

Ocean Freight

Delivery: 15-45 business days

Sea transport for large, non-urgent shipments. Most economical for heavy cargo.

4. Prohibited & Restricted Items

For safety and legal compliance, certain items cannot be shipped through our network.

  • Human remains or organs

Shipping prohibited items may result in seizure, fines, and termination of service. Additional restrictions apply to international shipments based on destination country regulations.

5. Insurance & Liability Coverage

Standard Coverage

All shipments include basic liability coverage based on service type. Additional insurance is available for high-value items.

Insurance Claims:

To file an insurance claim, you must provide proof of value (invoice, receipt, or appraisal), photos of damaged items, and original packaging. Claims must be filed within 30 days of delivery.

6. Damage, Loss & Claims Process

Claims Timeframes:

  • Damage Claims: Must be reported within 5 business days of delivery
  • Loss Claims: Must be reported within 14 days of expected delivery date
  • Concealed Damage: Must be reported within 24 hours of delivery
  • International Claims: Must be reported within 30 days of shipment date

Required Documentation:

  1. Proof of Value: Original invoice, receipt, or appraisal
  2. Photos/Videos: Clear images showing damage, packaging condition, and labels
  3. Packaging: Retain original packaging until claim is resolved
  4. Delivery Receipt: Signed proof of delivery (POD) if available
  5. Claim Form: Completed damage/loss claim form from our website

7. Delivery Failure & Redelivery

If a delivery attempt fails, we follow these procedures:

First Attempt

Driver will attempt delivery during scheduled window. If no one is available, a delivery notice will be left.

Second Attempt

Second attempt within 1-2 business days at no additional charge for most services.

Hold at Facility

After second failed attempt, package is held at local facility for 5 business days for pickup.

Return to Sender

If not claimed within 5 days, package is returned to sender. Return shipping fees apply.

Delivery Instructions:

For successful delivery, ensure someone is available during the scheduled window, provide gate codes/access instructions, and keep pets secured.

8. Tracking & Status Updates

Real-time tracking is available for all shipments through our platform and mobile app.

Estimated delivery windows provided for planning purposes.

Tracking numbers are provided upon shipment confirmation. Updates may be delayed by up to 2 hours during peak times or in remote areas.
